What we liked
- + Marketed for both grilling and smoking, so it covers low and slow cooks too
- + 22-inch size matches the popular kettle footprint for accessories and grates
- + Char-Griller is an established budget brand with a wide parts network
Trade-offs
- - Thinner steel than premium kettles can let heat swing in windy weather
- - Lid fit and vent seals may need tuning before long smoking sessions
