What we liked
- + Infrared burner reaches very high heat for a crusty steakhouse-style sear
- + Independent ignition gives easy push-button lighting without matches
- + Portable body works on patios, tailgates and outdoor kitchens
Trade-offs
- - Designed mainly for searing, so slow roasting and smoking are not an option
- - Very high heat means steaks overcook quickly without close attention
